Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Batch when you install or use the extension.

Last updated: May 1, 2026

Agreement to these terms

By installing or using the Batch for Google Photos browser extension (the “Extension”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.

These Terms form an agreement between you and Batch for Google Photos, an independent product operated from the United States. References to “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Batch for Google Photos.

About Batch

Batch is a Chrome extension that automates Google Photos’ built-in editing tools across multiple photos at once. You select photos in your Google Photos library, choose an edit, and Batch steps through your selection, applying the edit you chose using Google Photos’ own editor.

Edits available in v1:

  • Auto Enhance
  • Apply Filter (one of 19 named filters)
  • Auto Crop (one of 9 ratios)
  • Add Description (append or replace)
  • Revert to Original (Pro tier only)

Batch is an independent Chrome extension and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Google or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates. Google Photos is a trademark of Google LLC.

Eligibility

To use Batch, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years of age.
  • Have a Google account in good standing.
  • Use a Chromium-based browser that supports Manifest V3 extensions (Chrome, Edge, Brave, and similar).
  • Comply with Google Photos’ own Terms of Service.

You may not use Batch if you are barred from doing so under the laws of your country or state.

Plans, billing, and refunds

Plans

Batch offers three tiers. Quotas reset every 30 days from the start of your current billing cycle.

  • Free: $0 per month. Up to 25 photos processed per 30-day cycle, up to 50 per batch. Includes Auto Enhance, Apply Filter, Auto Crop, Rotate, and Add Description.
  • Plus: $6.99 per month or $55 per year. Up to 500 photos processed per 30-day cycle, up to 250 per batch. Includes the same four core edits.
  • Pro: $24.99 per month or $199 per year. Unlimited photos per 30-day cycle, up to 500 per batch. Includes the same four core edits, plus Revert to Original.

Quota is consumed only when a photo is successfully processed. Photos that fail or are skipped do not count against your monthly quota.

Billing

Paid plans are billed through ExtensionPay, our third-party billing service, with payment processing handled by Stripe. We do not collect, see, or store your payment card information.

When you start a paid plan, you authorize ExtensionPay (via Stripe) to charge your selected payment method the recurring subscription fee at the cadence you chose (monthly or annual).

Renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until you cancel. To cancel, use the billing portal accessible from the Extension’s upgrade screen, or contact us at support@batchphotoedit.com and we will help you cancel.

Cancelling stops future renewals. Your paid features remain active through the end of the billing period you have already paid for, after which your account drops to the Free tier.

Refunds

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you were charged in error, had a technical issue that prevented you from using a paid feature, or have another concern, contact us at support@batchphotoedit.com.

Subscription fees, including renewal charges, are generally non-refundable unless required by applicable law. We may issue refunds at our discretion.

Where applicable consumer-protection laws in your jurisdiction give you mandatory refund, cancellation, or withdrawal rights, those rights are not affected by this policy.

Refunds, when issued, are processed through Stripe and may take up to 10 business days to appear on your statement.

Your responsibilities and acceptable use

You are responsible for:

  • The Google Photos account you use with Batch and the photos you select for any batch.
  • Reviewing your selection before clicking Run. Batch applies the edit you chose to every photo you selected.
  • Using the Free tier to verify the Extension behaves as you expect before upgrading or running large batches.
  • Keeping the Google Photos tab open while a batch runs. If you close the tab or your computer goes to sleep, the batch may pause; you can resume it from the Extension within a short recovery window.
  • Understanding Google Photos’ own undo, revert, and trash behavior. The Pro Revert action restores a photo to its pre-edit state using Google Photos’ built-in revert function. If Google Photos does not have an original to revert to, Revert may be unable to restore the photo.

You agree not to use Batch to:

  • Access, modify, or process photos that do not belong to you, that you do not have permission to edit, or that violate any third party’s rights.
  • Process photos containing illegal content.
  • Attempt to circumvent quota limits, tier restrictions, or billing controls.
  • Reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the Extension, except as permitted by applicable law.
  • Use Batch in any way that violates Google Photos’ Terms of Service, Chrome Web Store policies, or applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these acceptable use rules.

Google Photos and other third-party services

Batch operates inside your authenticated Google Photos session. Your use of Google Photos itself is governed by Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Batch automates clicks and inputs that you would normally perform yourself in Google Photos’ editor. We do not provide Google’s editing functionality; we apply it across multiple photos. If Google Photos changes its interface, the Extension may temporarily fail or behave unexpectedly until we publish an update.

Paid plans depend on ExtensionPay (https://extensionpay.com) and Stripe (https://stripe.com) for billing and payment processing. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Privacy

Our handling of information is described in our Privacy Policy at https://batchphotoedit.com/privacy. By using Batch, you also agree to the practices described there.

Service availability and changes

We work to keep the Extension available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Extension depends on Google Photos’ interface and on Chrome’s extension platform, both of which can change in ways outside our control.

We may add, remove, or modify features at any time. We may also modify pricing for new subscriptions. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price change affecting their plan, and may cancel before the change takes effect.

The Chrome debugger banner

Batch automates Google Photos’ editor by dispatching browser-trusted input events. While a batch is running, Chrome displays a banner that reads “Batch for Google Photos started debugging this browser.” This is Chrome’s message for extensions that use the browser’s automation/debugging API to perform actions on a user’s behalf. The banner is expected during a batch and disappears when the batch completes, when you pause the batch, or when you click Cancel on the banner itself.

Disclaimers

The Extension is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from delays, or that it will produce the results you expect on every photo. Some photos may fail to process, be skipped, or require manual attention. Batch processes photos one at a time using Google Photos’ built-in editor; the actual edit applied is whatever Google Photos applies for that selection.

We are not responsible for changes Google Photos makes to its own service, including changes that cause the Extension to stop functioning, removal of features such as Revert to Original, or changes to your Google Photos library that occur outside of the Extension’s control.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Batch for Google Photos, its operator, contractors, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, photos, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of or inability to use the Extension.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Extension will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for subscription fees in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ten US dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. These limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by law in your jurisdiction.

Termination

You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it from your browser. Cancelling a paid subscription is described in Section 4.

We may suspend or terminate your access to paid features if you violate these Terms, if your payment method fails, or if we discontinue the Extension.

If we discontinue the Extension or a paid plan, we will handle affected subscriptions in accordance with applicable law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Extension will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose consumer-protection laws give you mandatory rights to bring claims in your local courts, those rights are not affected by this section.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Extension evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For substantive changes (such as billing terms, refund policy, or limitation of liability), we will post a notice in the Extension’s user interface at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Continued use of the Extension after a change indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel your subscription and uninstall the Extension before the change takes effect.
